a week agoThis place is highly underrated and is such a gem in this area of Dallas. Our server Ms. Kim was fantastic and cooked our meat table side, and offered suggestions on how best to eat the generous portion of meat that we received, as well as the delicious rice cakes. She was so funny and kind and such a joy. I will in particular highlight the salad, which was the best I have had at any KBBQ restaurant (and I am no stranger to good Korean food, being from Carrollton) and paired perfectly with the meat. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time for date night and will be returning very soon!!!

2 weeks agoFirst time at Kim’s, and we had the best experience! Grace was our server, and she was amazing. She gave us great recommendations, cooked the food for us, and was so sweet and attentive throughout the entire meal. Everything we tried was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The quality, service, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back! We ❤️ Grace!

a month agoWe absolutely LOVED this place! The food was all so very delicious, and it was priced fairly well for what all you get. The service was incredibly phenomenal. I didn’t get names, but the sweet lady cooked our meat for us as we enjoyed all the other sides. She cut some meats for us and paired them with certain sauces and sides for us to enjoy! They also have a variety of Soju flavors- I recommend the strawberry and plum ones. Excellent communication and conversations. We will definitely be returning soon!

4 months agoUpon entry they had signs saying they were short on labor and to be patient and kind. That's exactly what we did. Helen was our greeter and waitress and she did a phenomenal job from helping us with what to select from menu, cooking the meats, and serving us. Her service and attention was superb. She was literally running to serve everyone there and I told her to take her time with me and relax. I could see the sweat on her from catering to everyone. This was my first time there and the food tasted so delicious! I enjoyed the experience and the decor of the restaurant. It was freezing cold in there, but I also thought about the few workers running around and how hot they looked, so they probably needed the cold air. It did cool off my food, but it was still good. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice date night restaurant and experience.

5 months agoThis place is great! We came here to celebrate a friend landing a new job, and walked in way later than we anticipated. We arrived 30 minutes before close and were still graciously seated and told to place our orders quickly before the kitchen closed, but that we wouldn’t be rushed to eat. Our waitress took great care of us! I wish I got her name, she cooked the food for us while explaining what each protein was and which sides and sauces pair best with them. Thank you Kim’s House for a wonder celebration and for staying late for us. We will definitely be back!

5 months agoHad a really fun night out at Kim’s. The server even helped with preparing the food and suggesting pairings. Which is nice but not required at a Korean barbecue place. They were so friendly throughout and especially with young kids. From the drinks to the quality of meats to the tea afterward, everything was amazing.

You feel taken care of right away. They walk you through the menu, check your table often, and help you cook the meat so everything comes out with the right flavor and texture. We ordered the Combo 2. It was worth it. The cuts were fresh and well trimmed. Each piece cooked evenly and stayed tender. The grill stayed clean because the staff checked on it and swapped grates when needed. You get consistent heat and steady results. It makes the meal easier and more enjoyable. Every side tasted exceptional. The kimchi had the right balance of heat and crunch. The potato salad came smooth and seasoned. The steamed egg stayed soft. The pickled vegetables added sharp flavor that cut through the richness of the meat. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt bland. Each side added something to the table. The service stood out. They answered every question without rushing you. They checked portions before you ran low. They adjusted the grill when the flame shifted. They made sure the table had what it needed before you had to ask. It keeps the pace of the meal smooth and stress free. The space feels clean and organized. Tables stay clear. Utensils stay refreshed. You never feel crowded. The atmosphere gives you room to enjoy the food and talk without noise drowning you out. 7 months agoDELICIOUS is an understatement! Great quality meat and the sides are amazing! We tried the dumplings and they were perfectly crispy. Service was 10/10, very friendly and helpful. Clean comfortable place with a good vibe!
